Original Watercolour paintings capturing memories and nostalgia of places encountered and explored over the years.

About

Northern Ireland born artist and printmaker interested in the natural landscape and the memories that it carries.Graduated from Aberystwyth University with a BA in Fine Art and Creative Writing. Exhibited in London, Cheltenham, Aberystwyth, and with Slade, UCL and The National Library of Wales.Other interests include stories, culture and heritage, foraging, capturing memories and moments, conservation and ecology, stewardship and places of significance.I am interested in artists’ books and making my own books.
I am an avid walker, and enjoy learning about the landscape around me, and how it has inspired imagination for hundreds of years.
I am currently developing a series of folded artists’ books in response to that.
As well, I like to incorporate locally sourced materials into my work such as my own charcoal ink and Ócar - a red Irish ochre pigment - which is sourced in the Antrim hills close to where I grew up.
